The Ganaraska Forest is frequented by thousands of users of all shapes and sizes. Locally there are two IMBA affiliated clubs: the Peterborough Cycling Club and the Bloomfield Bicycle Club and the closest affiliated bike shop is Wildrock Outfitters in Peterborough.

The GFC is nicely situated near the bulk of the large population areas of Southern Ontario. It is an hour and a half or so from Toronto and forty-five minutes from Peterborough and Oshawa/Whitby. It is four hours from Montreal and three hours from Ottawa. There are eight million folks living within a four hour radius.
