WEDNESDAY 6:00PM, moderate road ride Meet at the Bloomfield Bicycle Company for a road ride that is a little faster than Tuesday but not quite as fast as the Thursday road ride. THURSDAY 6:00PM, fast road ride Meet at the Bloomfield Bicycle Company. Fast riders ...bring out your road bikes, clip in and push off for some pretty long, fast rides. When the sun goes down late this ride sometimes goes until 10PM: but usually it's three or four hours and seventy to eighty kilometers; pacelines are often present. The pace pushes 35km/hr when they are smokin' but you'll need to be able to maintain 30km/hr on your own to keep up. Rick leads this ride (unless Peter is in town) |
| SATURDAY 1:00PM, Rick's hard MTB ride Meet at the Bloomfield Bicycle Company to ride the rail line to the trails, or meet at 1:30PM at the Macaulay Mountain Parking Lot for our longest, hardest off-road ride. We'll conquer ALL the trails at Macaulay and go back for another couple of laps more. Usually thirty kilometers or so and at least three hours of riding. Experienced mountainbikers only. First lap: intro. Second lap:shaking the tree. Third lap: warp speed. Rick leads this ride. Bloomfield Bicycle Weekly Club Rides in the spring only happen when the weather allows. After the May 24 Long Weekend rides will happen like clockwork (in occurrence, not punctuality or organizational wise!) every week, until Labour Day. Then they happen on nice days, mostly, again, until we close October 31, 2009. If it is raining at the start time of any ride, we won't ride. Riding at Macaulay Mountain within 24 hours of rain is discouraged, especially in rainy years (like this one, 2009). Follow the Club on Facebook for up to the minute ride status and photos!

As many of you know we've been hosting Centuries on the long weekends for the last few years. We're lovin' it and we're doin' it again this year. We provide maps for each person on the ride, and a leader who knows their way around the County. |

strangely enough, at the bloomfield bicycle company, a bike shop (in commonly agreed upon reality) located at the center of our particular universe with co-ordinates of:
225 Main Street, P.O.Box 78, Bloomfield, Ontario, K0K 1G0, Canada
the phone system still reaches our outpost at: 613.393.1060. Our friend Steve at County Magazine will receive faxes for us at 613.393.3960. We are physically open from April 1 through October 31 but are electronically available all year round. Feel free to drop us an email.
Or, just to keep up with those pesky Joneses, follow the Group "Bloomfield Bicycle Club" on facebook.
